George Mitchell, devoted to family
George “Walley” Mitchell departed this world peacefully at home into the arms of Jesus Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025. He was born Nov. 16, 1938, to George and Margaret Mitchell.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, JoAnn Mitchell; daughter, Lynn Lanza; granddaughters, Aspen, Sommer and Camryn Lanza. He was the proud great-grandfather to Grayson Thorne. He is also survived by his sisters, Jean Hastings and Linda Wilson.
His devotion and love for his family will be deeply cherished and missed. The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time. A sincere thank you is extended to Compassionate Care Hospice.
