Hope View Haven nonprofit sets April 26 fundraiser
Hope View Haven, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Ellendale, is hosting Gallop Into Giving, a family-friendly fundraiser, from 5 to 8 p.m., Saturday, April 26, at 28901 Fisher Road, Milton.
Activities will include face painting, a photo booth with Blue the miniature horse, raffle items and 50/50 raffles, merchandise, music, and Bub’s Grub’s food truck, which will donate 10% of proceeds to HVH’s fundraising efforts. Hope View Haven provides youth with equine-assisted learning, partnering with horses to teach self-regulation, empathy, and confidence; hands-on experiences in animal care, gardening and farm maintenance; and miniature horse therapy visits to hospitals and nursing homes to foster community connections and character development.
Hope View Haven has taken over programming from Broad View Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies, a local program serving Kent and Sussex counties since 2018.
The mission of HVH is to give youth hope for a bright future and the resources to pursue it through horsemanship and life skills instruction, farm-based experiences, and community connections. Founded to support at-risk youth facing social, emotional, and academic challenges, Hope View Haven’s programming offers a transformative experience that helps youth to build resilience, self-regulation, and relationship skills, as well as discover their strengths and explore career pathways.
