Johnson Orthodontics thanks Cape educator with gift card

Dr. Jonathan Johnson recently presented a $200 gift card to Christopher Burkhart, Cape Henlopen High School band director.
Burkhart’s student Lily Noonan dropped his name into the nomination fishbowl in Johnson’s office. With her entry drawn as the winner, Noonan received a card for a Sweet Frog frozen yogurt treat.
The contest, which has been running consistently since 2017, is Johnson’s way of thanking teachers for routinely letting him borrow their students for orthodontic appointments. The son of two elementary school teachers, Johnson is committed to supporting local schools and looks forward to surprising another teacher in May, when he has something special planned for Teacher Appreciation Week.
