A Milford man faces his fifth DUI after a Lewes-area traffic stop March 7.

The incident happened at 1:35 a.m. when a trooper on patrol saw a Chevrolet Traverse weaving along northbound Route 1 near Postal Lane, and pulled the vehicle over, police said.

The driver showed signs of impairment and the trooper administered field sobriety tests. After the tests, police said a computer check showed Maurice Finney, 36, had four prior DUIs. He was taken to Troop 7 and charged with fifth-offense DUI, driving while suspended or revoked, and speeding. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $6,101 cash bond.
