The Optimist Club of Sussex County recently held a ceremony to recognize young artists who participated in its second annual art show.
For their entries involving the theme Respect Mother Nature, five winners were awarded cash prizes. The Delaware Watercolor Association donated the first-place award.
Fourth- and fifth-grade students from Lord Baltimore, John M. Clayton and Georgetown elementary schools were invited to participate in the show coordinated by Corissa McCann, club secretary.
