The Philadelphia Eagles step up!
The Eagles got off to the best start possible against the Tennessee Titans last weekend with Josh Huff return the opening kickoff for a touchdown. The Eagles controlled the game from start to finish. Tennessee had a very difficult time keeping any momentum and Eagles' quarterback, Mark Sanchez only had one brain cramp when he threw an interception in the second quarter. The Eagles can't afford any mistakes against the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving, or two weeks later when they play them again with this year's crazy schedule.
I was rooting for the New York Giants to beat Dallas in Sunday night's game, and they came pretty darn close. The Giants' receiver Odell Beckham made an amazing catch for a touchdown in the first half. He looked like a character out of a Spiderman movie! If only the Giants could have won that game it would have been a huge help to the Eagles' winning the NFC East. And how about those Buffalo Bills winning their game in a huge way against the New York Jets in the "extra" Monday Night game, thanks to the crazy amount of snow that got dumped on their hometown last week!
As a Phillies fan, I am very happy to have Pablo Sandoval and Hanley Ramirez sign with the Red Sox so they both are now out of the National League. The Phillies do play the Red Sox for their home opening games, so we will get to see these star players but the outcomes will be of no real consequence. I am surprised how fast these notable players are signing with teams. I thought they would have waited until the winter meetings in December and January to make those moves.
I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!
