Problems explained, explored at Cape High math fair

Cape High calculus and pre-calculus students shared their work with classmates, rising students and teachers May 19 during an annual fair organized by math department co-chair and teacher Rony Flechier.
On presentation boards showing all their work, students displayed their answers solving real-world problems, Flechier said.
“It’s important for students to see how math is applied,” Flechier said.
Teachers and administrators graded work based on student proficiency in mathematical concepts, procedures, representation and communication.
