Raymond Allen Heisler Sr., proud Army veteran
Raymond Allen Heisler Sr., 67, of Milton, passed away suddenly at home Friday, Nov. 15, 2024.
Raymond was a proud Army veteran and owned his own roofing business for many years before his retirement.
Raymond enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, whom he loved immensely. He could make just about anyone smile with his quick wit and easy charm. Raymond was an avid Washington Redskins fan and went to as many games as he could with his kids and grandkids. He also enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, camping or just sitting by the fire laughing with friends. His family and friends have fond memories of Raymond and his wife Gail’s legendary Fourth of July celebrations.
Raymond is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gail Heisler; his mother, Ruth A. (Godwin) Reynolds; his brother, James Heisler; and stepdaughter, Jennifer Buchanan.
He will be greatly missed by his children, Jody Heisler (William Kittrell II), Raymond A. Heisler Jr. (Karla), Jason Heisler and Gwen Robinson; his dad, B. Marshall Reynolds Jr.; several grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four siblings, Michael Reynolds, Ruth Scott, Debbie Jones and Benjamin M. Reynolds III; his military friends whom he remained in contact with; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
A memorial service will be held at noon, Wednesday, Dec. 11, at Short Funeral Services chapel, 416 Federal St., Milton, where a time of visitation for family and friends will begin at 11 a.m. Committal with military honors will immediately follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milton.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes contributions to assist with the funeral expenses.
