The Rehoboth Beach Film Society, in partnership with the Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice, will host the fifth annual Rehoboth Beach Black American Film Festival from Friday to Sunday, Feb. 21 to 23, at the Cinema Art Theater near Lewes.
Award-winning feature films and documentaries shown will celebrate the trailblazing work of Black artists in shaping American culture.
The selected films convey little-known stories of African Americans’ contributions to their country and how they have shaped today’s American culture. Receptions will be held at 6 p.m., Feb. 21, and 6 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 22.
Festival films include “Ain’t No Back to a Merry-Go-Round,” “Stamped from the Beginning,” “Ernest Cole: Lost and Found,” “The Six Triple Eight,” “We Strangers” and “Color Book.”
