The Rev. Robert Thomas Mylod, 86, of Lewes, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Rev. Mylod was born Jan. 22, 1938, in Bernardsville, N.J., son of the late Johnathan Francis Mylod and Mabel (Doody) Mylod. Rev. Mylod received a master of divinity from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio, and attended the University of Vermont. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to serving others, first as a pastor and later as a chaplain. He volunteered with numerous organizations in Delaware, including Beebe Healthcare and the Children's Beach House in Lewes. His faith and kindness touched many, and his ministry brought comfort to countless individuals.

A lover of the arts and a lifelong learner, Mylod enjoyed painting, reading, and spending time with his family and friends. He also found great joy in the serenity of the beach.

His life was a testament to the power of love, service, and dedication to others. He touched many lives with his caring heart and his unwavering commitment to his faith. While we take comfort in knowing that he is at peace, we will forever miss his presence, his wisdom, and the joy he brought into our lives.
