So much for the momentum
The Philadelphia Eagles were completely dominated in the second half of the game this past Sunday night in their game against the Arizona Cardinals. This was quite unfortunate since the first half was actually very competitive and showed promise of being a good matchup.
Near the end of the first half, the Eagles had a chance to get within four points by taking an easy field goal opportunity, but they passed it up and went for a 4th down conversion. This turned out to be a huge turning point in the game. Once that opportunity was blown, the Cardinal's offense went on and dominated the Eagles and the rest of the game. 40 to 17 Arizona.
Siri even used the adjective "crushed" if you asked her for the score of that game! So now the Eagles have to beat the Washington Redskins this week to have any chance at all to make the playoffs. The game will be on NFL network on Saturday night at 8 o'clock.
And with some more Christmas humbug, let's talk about the 76ers. They might just be the worst team in NBA history. They are now at 1 win and 29 losses on the season and it seems like there is no light at the end of this tunnel. Let's hope they can win at least 10 games so they don't tie or beat the record for the worst season ever. By the way, the current record holder is the 1972-73 76ers who went 9 and 73. Who'd have guessed?!
I have only watched a few of the college football bowl games. I think there are way too many. I will start watching them at some point this weekend after Christmas. I will definitely start watching in earnest for the college football playoff on New Year's Eve and then some of the traditional New Year's Day bowl games.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays to everyone.
