Sussex Academy students place in Math League state invitational

Students from across the state convened In Dover March 28 to participate in the Delaware Secondary School Mathematic League High School Division Invitational and Awards Banquet.

Sussex Academy students qualified to participate in the state invitational based on their performances in regionals. Alexander Boswell, 12th grade, placed first in Region 8.

The following students participated as a ninth-grade team that placed first in Region 8 and top 10 in the state: ninth-graders Noah Benz, Oliver Graves, Katya Geyer and Kieran Probst, and eight-grader Jack Thomas. Thomas competed with ninth-graders from across the state and was one of four who received a perfect score. He finished fourth overall for the entire state and first in Region 8. Noah Benz finished second in Region 8.
