Vikings boys’ tennis swat the Blue Jays 4-1

The Cape boys’ tennis team garnered its fourth straight victory April 1, with a 4-1 win over Seaford.

Seaford’s Jaime Roblero-Puac took a 3-6, 6-1, 10-3 win over Cape’s Nate Hoang. Cape’s second-singles player Trent Kauffman downed Seaford’s Djefley Joseph 6-0, 6-1. Sullivan Naden won his match over Seaford’s Dens Nero Augustin 6-1, 6-0 at third singles. 

Krish Prattipati and Caidan Juliano from Cape defeated Billguy Estime and Noah Garcia 6-0, 6-1 in the first-doubles match, while Cape’s Brody Trewartha and Aidan Khalaf downed Seaford’s Yosgart Guadarrama-Valentin and Daniel Teffeau 6-0, 6-0 at second doubles. 

The Vikings travel to Archmere Friday, April 4, to face the Auks.

 

Dan has worked for the Cape Gazette for more than 30 years as a photographer and reporter, covering high school sports and happenings around eastern Sussex County. He won a photography award from the National Newspaper Association, and numerous awards from the Maryland, Delaware, D.C. Press Association. A Delaware native, Dan graduated from Cape in 1972 and returned as a teacher and coach in the 1980s. He retired from the classroom in 2016. He was inducted into Cape High’s Legends Stadium in 2016. In his spare time, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons, grandchildren and dogs.
