Wet – A Surf Art Exhibit opens in Rehoboth Beach

Brian White is a local artist who photographs surfing, sailing and nautical subjects throughout the mid-Atlantic region and a few special places around the world.

He also paints surfboards and surf fins to create original works of art. A reception for Wet – A Surf Art Exhibit was held Nov. 7 at Ocean Boulevard Furniture in Rehoboth Beach.

“Surf art is absolutely a total passion of mine,” said White. “I started photographing surfing when COIVD hit, and when I started painting these surfboards, it became really important to me that they became acquired by people who actually surfed them, by people I know. That energy is positive, it resonates, and it stays with the board. It helps me determine what I’m going to paint. I want my work to be a totem of positive energy in somebody’s home or office.”
