Worcester Prep students excel in patriotic essay contest

Worcester Preparatory School recently honored its student winners in the national Elks Americanism Essay contest.
In response to the prompt, What Does Patriotism Mean to Me, each student submitted an essay consisting of at least 300 words to Ocean City Elks Lodge 2645.
Placing first in the fifth-grade division was Freddy Hertrich orf Rehoboth Beach. Abigail Kratzner secured second place and Grant Messner placed third. In the sixth-grade division, Maddie Bobenko won second place. In the seventh-grade division, Ronit Poddar earned second place. In the eighth-grade division, Sophia Nguyen won first place and Elle Wilsey earned third place.
