The Rehoboth Art League will welcome this year’s Young at Art exhibition from Saturday, March 15 to Sunday, March 30, in the Corkran and Tubbs Galleries on its historic Henlopen Acres campus. This exhibit, which showcases teacher-selected artwork from Sussex County children in kindergarten through high school grades, celebrates the next generation of Delaware artists by providing local young creatives with support and encouragement to pursue their artistic ambitions.
The public and participating students are welcome to celebrate the exhibition’s opening by visiting the galleries throughout the day March 15.
Participating schools include Beacon Middle, Cape Henlopen High, Delmarva Christian High, Delmarva Christian K-8, East Millsboro Elementary, Frederick D. Thomas Middle, Georgetown Elementary, H.O. Brittingham Elementary, Indian River High, John M. Clayton Elementary, Laurel Middle, Laurel High, Lewes Elementary, Lord Baltimore Elementary, Love Creek Elementary, Mariner Middle, Milford Central Academy, Millsboro Middle, Milton Elementary, Mispillion Elementary, North Georgetown Elementary, Phillis Wheatley Elementary, Seaford Middle, Selbyville Middle, Southern Delaware School of the Arts, Sussex Academy elementary, Sussex Academy high, Sussex Academy middle, Sussex Central High, Woodbridge Early Childhood Education Center, Woodbridge High and Woodbridge Middle.
Each art teacher has chosen the best student works to represent the school, and selections will be judged to receive ribbons, cash awards and scholarships.
The exhibition is free and open to the public during regular gallery hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m., Sunday.
