Can the Phillies sustain this?

April 28, 2017

This week the Phillies have turned back the clock to 2012. They have won six straight games against National League East opponents. Right now, they're actually in second place in the division, behind the Washington Nationals.

While they have been very impressive to start the season so far, I don't think the Phillies can keep up with the Nationals for the whole season. It definitely looks a lot more promising for next year. Maybe they can finish in second place, but I don't think that will be good enough to make the playoffs, because of how competitive the Central division always is with Chicago, Pittsburgh, and St. Louis fighting it out for the playoff spots.

Hope springs eternal.

In not so surprising news last week, Tiger Woods announced that he underwent yet another back surgery. This latest surgery seems to be completely different than the three previous procedures. I sincerely hope that this one works! That way he can return and then leave the game on his own terms when he wants to and not because he has to limp off the course again. Sadly, there is a 50-50 chance that he will never play competitive golf again. He is definitely out for the year.

I have to bring back my "what the ----" segment. Have you seen what the NFL has built just for the draft this weekend? For some reason they decided to build a huge temporary stage structure, just so they can hold the draft outside. Talk about a big waste of money for show.
