Baywood Greens hosted a moving Veterans Day ceremony Nov. 11, to honor the brave men and women who have served in the U.S. military.
The event was attended by local veterans, their families and community members. A Quilt of Valor was presented to the community veterans by Lois Loser and the Baywood Quilters.
Baywood Greens, known for its beautiful setting and community spirit, provided a fitting backdrop for the occasion, as participants reflected on the sacrifices made by service members throughout history.
“It means a lot. It’s an opportunity to say thank you for our core freedoms,” said Harry Baumes, president of the Baywood Homeowners Association. “Baywood is still growing, and we still have our military, and my hope is that this event will continue to celebrate our vets, to honor our vets and to remember our vets. I hope it continues to grow in upcoming years.”
