Work is underway to demolish the former home of Jam Bistro and the Camel’s Hump, two longtime restaurants that operated on the ocean block of Baltimore Avenue in Rehoboth Beach.
The city issued a demolition notice March 14 for the three-story commercial building and an accessory structure.
The buildings are being removed to make way for a proposed hotel that will be located at 17, 19 and 21 Baltimore Ave.
In anticipation of the future demolition, Jam Bistro moved to the corner of Wilmington Avenue and Second Street in spring 2023. The Baltimore Avenue building has been vacant since then.
