Snow covers state capital in 1985
Dover is the center of the Delaware universe this month.
On Tuesday, Jan. 7, Gov. John Carney ends his two terms in office to become the mayor of Wilmington. Upon his resignation, Lt. Gov. Bethany Hall-Long will become the state’s 75th governor. Her tenure will not last long, though, as Matt Meyer, Hall-Long’s opponent in the Democratic primary, will be inaugurated as the 76th governor Tuesday, Jan. 27.
