Music is a source of lifelong inspiration

February 28, 2025

Congratulations to the Cape Henlopen High School musicians on their successful concert tours and acceptance to the All-Eastern ensembles! As a former high school band director, I extend my sincere admiration for your unwavering dedication to the pursuit of musical excellence and the profound impact you have made on your families, friends and colleagues. The cherished memories you have forged will undoubtedly serve as a source of inspiration throughout your lives.

As I have consistently advised my students, regardless of their college aspirations, it is imperative to continue engaging in musical activities or joining extracurricular clubs, fraternities or sororities. These endeavors provide an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who can offer unwavering support and foster a sense of camaraderie. For those who choose not to pursue higher education, the allure of music remains undiminished, as numerous community musical groups eagerly seek new members.
