LIVING HERE OFF SEASON

So many people don’t understand how wonderful it is to live here in the off-season. June through August is what makes our economy roar but there is still the rest of the year. September, October, November are typically beautiful months. I know people that buy a 2nd home and don’t realize how wonderful it is here off season.

What happens during here off-season: A lot!

The locals all come out of the woodwork and the businesses cater to them.

Parking stops downtown.

Most of the restaurants run incredible deals during the week. The prices are just amazing.  (vistireahoboth.com/things to do/seasonal specials?

Events – Seawitch festival and parade – almost every jurisdiction has a Christmas tree lighting ceremony and a Christmas parade – October brings a great jazz festival.

Other things that we have happening – all types of theatre – ClearSpace in Rehoboth – Milton Theater obviously in Milton – Possum Point Theatre in Georgetown – all of these have a lot of events and they are mostly high quality.

Jan & Feb can do dull times. This year it has snowed more than we have seen in many many years. I can only hope that we are done with the white stuff for many years to come.

Some people complain about the summer traffic. I lived in the DC area for 29 years and a bad here is nothing like a good day in DC.
