Student art show continues at Georgetown library thru March 26

Artwork by local students adorns the walls at Georgetown Public Library.
Works by promising young artists from several local schools are now on display for the annual student art show at Georgetown Public Library, 123 W. Pine St., Georgetown. All participants and their teachers will be honored at a closing reception set for 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 26.
Sponsored by Georgetown Arts and Flowers Inc., this year’s show features more than 80 pieces of artwork by students in kindergarten through eighth grade from Sussex Academy, North Georgetown Elementary, Georgetown Elementary and Georgetown Middle schools.
The works will be judged by three local artists for first-, second- and third-place prizes along with honorable mention awards.
