Local business distributes care packages for dialysis patients

To mark National Kidney Month in March, HomeWell Care Services Delaware partnered with the National Kidney Foundation Serving Maryland and Delaware to put together 400 care packages for Sussex County residents who are living with kidney disease and are on dialysis.
The packages were taken to several local dialysis centers, where staff distributed them to patients.
“All the items in the care packages either help manage kidney disease or make the long hours of dialysis treatment more bearable,” said Will Childers, owner of HomeWell Care Services Delaware. “They include water bottles, recipes, headphones, arm sleeves, and activity and coloring books, as just a few examples.”
