Southern Delaware Orchestra spring concerts set April 26-27

April 15, 2025

The Southern Delaware Orchestra will present Sounds of Spring: A Musical River Journey Through Europe, in performances set for 3 p.m., Saturday, April 26, at Indian River High School, 29772 Armory Road, Dagsboro; and at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 27, at Cape Henlopen High School, 1250 Kings Highway, Lewes.

The program includes Smetana’s “The Moldau,” Schubert’s “Symphony #8,” Johann Strauss II’s “Blue Danube Waltz” and Haydn’s “Trumpet Concerto in E-flat.”

“We’re excited about a program that mixes the beauty of spring with the excitement of renewal and rebirth that spring offers,” said Stephen Greifer, board president and orchestra co-founder. “It’s a marvelous opportunity to shake off the frost of winter, get the blood flowing and the toes tapping. And it's been many years since Southern Delaware has needed this spring tonic more!”

Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for students. Children under 10 are admitted free.
