Across Bayhealth there are programs that are supporting healthcare professionals in growing and thriving in their careers. From Graduate Medical Education programs to an accredited Nurse Residency Program, and now a brand-new Administrative Fellowship, Bayhealth has a commitment to help others thrive for the benefit of our community.
The inaugural Administrative Fellowship program at Bayhealth welcomed Aryssa Prodafikas in July. She is a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) candidate at George Washington University (GWU), Milken Institute School of Public Health. She joined Bayhealth to build a solid leadership foundation through mentorship and active participation in initiatives across the health system and will be in her fellowship through June 2025.
Before beginning her MHA journey, Prodafikas earned her Bachelor of Science in public health at Purdue University. Since 2019, she’s held multiple internships in various industries including healthcare, politics, fitness, and human resources. She and the GWU team won the Medical Informatics HIMSS Competition for their presentation on healthcare system inequities and potential shortcomings of using health data for A1 and machine learning.
Bayhealth’s Vice President of Physician Services Operations Dina Perry, MBA, is the administrator of the fellowship and serves as Prodafikas’ mentor through the program. “What drew Aryssa to our program was our mission to strengthen the health of our community, which aligns with her core values and aspirations,” said Perry. “I consider it a privilege to have a positive impact on young professionals and am excited about all the opportunities that lie ahead at Bayhealth for Aryssa and future fellows.”
