All Saints’ and St. George’s ECW donates to Project Linus
The Episcopal Church Women group of of All Saints’ Church and St. George’s Chapel recently welcomed guest Donna Clark, who is the Project Linus area coordinator for the Delmarva Peninsula. Clark spoke about this nationwide program that provides handmade blankets for children in crisis.
Clark, who resides in Snow Hill, Md., has been the area coordinator for 23 years, and she said more than 16,000 blankets have been distributed over that time. Nationally, 10 million blankets have been distributed since Project Linus’ inception in 1995.
The ECW members were moved by the personal stories and information Clark shared, and were pleased to provide a donation to help continue the organization’s good work.
Project Linus welcomes financial and/or blanket donations from the community; for details, go to projectlinus.org.
The parish ECW meets monthly and offers a variety of programs, both inreach and outreach. Anyone interested in joining can call 302-227-7202 for more information.
