Beach volleyball tourney returns to Rehoboth May 9-11

Mid-Atlantic Volleyball will celebrate 40 years of competition in Rehoboth Beach with its First Rites of Summer beach tournament from Friday to Sunday, May 9 to 11. This is a popular annual event with upwards of 100 courts to be set up. 

Events will include a beach volleyball instructional clinic from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, May 9, at New Castle Street. The clinic will be hosted by David Fischer, head beach volleyball coach at UNC Wilmington, and is open to all ages.

Featured events for Saturday, May 10, will be adult men's and women's doubles and triples competitions plus juniors divisions for 16- and 12-year-olds. 

Sunday will include play for coed doubles, triples and sixes, plus juniors play in the 14 and 18 divisions.
