Blue Rock promotes Carter McClung to director of financial planning
Blue Rock Financial Group recently announced Carter McClung, CFP, CSLP, has been promoted to director of financial planning.
McClung has consistently exemplified the highest standards of integrity, thought leadership and innovation in financial planning. Since joining Blue Rock in 2019, he has combined technical expertise with an empathetic, modern approach to advising clients, always rooted in helping people live more intentionally and plan with purpose.
Before joining Blue Rock, McClung earned a dual degree in financial planning, and wealth management and finance from the University of Delaware. He quickly made a name for himself in the industry, becoming one of the few advisors to pass the rigorous Certified Financial Planner practitioner examination at the age of 23. He later earned the Certified Student Loan Planner designation, distinguishing himself as Delaware’s only CFP with this specialized credential. Since earning the CSLP, he has consulted on nearly $50 million in student loan debt and has guided borrowers to save approximately $10 million. This has been a great addition to his knowledge base for serving both parents and high earners who still hold student loans.
"Carter represents the future of financial planning," said Todd Roselle, CFP, ChFC, founder and president of Blue Rock. "His analytical mind, creative problem-solving and ability to articulate complex topics make him an extraordinary asset to our clients and our firm. We couldn’t be prouder to see him step into this leadership role."
