Concert for the Kids returns April 6
The 4th Annual Concert for the Kids will be held at 6 p.m., Sunday, April 6, at the Lighthouse Cove Event Center in Dewey Beach.
The concert and live auction will benefit Paul Kares, a nonprofit that supports young performing and culinary artists. Founded by Paul Cullen and Jim Rivette, group has awarded more than $40,000 in grants and scholarships.
This year’s event features Bad River, a musical mashup of the former Bad Company and Little River Band members.
The group features Tony Sciuto of Little River Band; Cullen, who played with Bad Company; international recording artist Robbie LaBlanc; and 17-year-old percussionist Alex Fitzkee.
Eliot Lewis, who played with Hall & Oats, will return as Bad River’s special guest.
The evening will also feature 5th Avenue Jazz Band, who will be joined by members of the Cape Henlopen High School’s jazz band, a Paul Kares grant recipient.
Paul Kares has also made grants to the Southern Delaware School of the Arts, and the seventh- and eighth-grade rock band will perform.
