Conservation Stewardship Award winners announced

March 31, 2025

The Sussex Conservation District recently held a luncheon ceremony to recognize the recipients of the 2025 Conservation Stewardship Awards.

Now in its fourth year, the annual CSA program continues to celebrate outstanding individuals, businesses and organizations that go above and beyond in protecting and enhancing Sussex County’s natural resources.

“We are thrilled to see how this event has grown over the years,” said Jessica Watson, sediment and stormwater program manager at SCD. “The commitment and innovation demonstrated by this year’s winners are truly inspiring. They don’t just meet sediment and stormwater regulations—they exceed them, ensuring a lasting positive impact on our environment.”

This year, 17 entries were carefully reviewed by a panel of judges from SCD and representatives from the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, the Delaware Department of Agriculture and the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays.
