Crash closes Route 1 near Indian River Inlet

Southbound Route 1 was closed for about an hour Aug. 12 due to a crash near the Indian River Inlet bridge.
The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched about 12:45 p.m. Upon arrival, two cars were found with subjects trapped. After extrication, two patients were transported via ambulance to Beebe Healthcare and one patient was flown to Christiana Hospital.
