VIA Day proclamation lauds volunteer service to community

April 2, 2025

In honor of Women’s History Month and the community service history of the Village Improvement Association, Rehoboth Beach Mayor Stan Mills proclaimed March 20, 2025, as VIA Day.

With United in Volunteerism as their motto, club members gave more than 150 hours of time providing community service all over the Rehoboth area and beyond. During the past year, members cleaned roadsides and developments; baked dinners for Home of the Brave; helped at thrift stores, food pantries and the Community Resource Center; and knitted and sewed blankets for Operation Smile.

A member of the GFWC Delaware State Federation of Women's Clubs, VIA is a women’s civic and charitable organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.
