Day of Reflection to feature noted evangelist April 5 in Lewes

St. Jude The Apostle Parish will host a Day of Reflection from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, April 5, in the Parish Life Center at 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes.

The event, sponsored by the Msgr. Francis Desmond Columbiettes, will feature Kathleen McCarthy as speaker, and the inspiring message for the day will be: He is Alive – Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity. McCarthy is a published author, international Catholic lay evangelist and president of In His Sign Catholic Radio Network. Spanning more than four decades, her ministry has produced countless stories of healing through the power of the Holy Spirit. She is a renowned conference speaker, retreat leader, broadcaster and more. Through her gift of storytelling and prayer, McCarthy shares the message of God’s merciful love.

The Columbiettes are a group of like-minded Catholic women who foster sisterhood, service and spirituality among members. They work to protect religious, civil and economic rights of all people, and strive to aid all members of the human family. They also work to assist brother Knights of Columbus with their endeavors. There are more than 250 auxiliaries and over 14,500 members throughout the United States. Delaware’s first Columbiette Auxiliary was established in 1994 in Sussex County.
