Delaware Association of Realtors names governmental affairs leader
The Delaware Association of Realtors recently announced the appointment of Joe Brennan as its new director of government affairs.
With extensive experience in public policy, legislative affairs and community engagement, Brennan will lead the association’s advocacy efforts, working to ensure legislative policies support Delaware’s Realtors, homeowners and the broader real estate industry.
Brennan brings more than five years of experience in state and local government, having served in legislative and policy roles across two state legislatures and at the county level. He began his career in the California State Assembly, where he worked for the current minority leader and two additional state legislators, focusing on constituent engagement and legislative outreach. His experience also includes time in county government, where he gained firsthand insight into public policy implementation. Brennan also has shared his expertise as an adjunct professor, educating college students about the legislative process.
Most recently, Brennan served as a district legislative and communications aide for a Pennsylvania House of Representatives member before relocating to Delaware. His career has been dedicated to fostering collaboration among legislators, industry stakeholders and communities to shape effective public policy.
“We are excited to welcome Joe to the Delaware Association of Realtors,” said Wes Stefanick, DAR CEO. “His background in legislative affairs and community engagement will strengthen our advocacy efforts and ensure that Delaware’s Realtors have a strong voice in policy discussions that impact homeownership and the real estate industry.”
A U.S. Navy veteran, Brennan lives in Middletown with his wife Dana and their two children. An active member of his community, he enjoys coaching youth soccer and playing hockey.
