Duffle Bags and More sets Kindle dine and donate event April 4
To benefit Duffle Bags and More, Kindle restaurant will host a dine and donate event from 4 to 10 p.m., Friday, April 4, at 111 Bank St., Lewes. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the nonprofit that supports children entering the foster care system throughout the state. Filled with personal supplies and comfort items, each duffle bag is crafted with care by dedicated volunteers, using materials purchased with contributions from local donors.
Patti Conroy, a board member of Duffle Bags and More, said its volunteers are bursting with gratitude for support it has received from the community.
The Msgr. Francis Desmond Columbiettes recently donated $1,000 to the nonprofit. "We are incredibly grateful for the Columbiettes’ support," said Conroy. Their contribution will make a significant difference in our ability to serve our community."
As a first-time participant in this year’s DoMore24 Delaware online giving event, the group raised an additional $2,580.
