Girl Scout Cookie Dessert Wars kick off Feb. 7
Sussex County Girl Scout Service Unit 14 is partnering with area restaurants for Girl Scout Cookie Dessert Wars.
The businesses were asked to buy cookies from local Girl Scout troops to incorporate into their own dessert creations, and donate $1 to Girl Scout Service Unit 14 for each dessert serving sold.
Unit 14, which supports Girl Scout troops within the Indian River School District area, is partnering with Brick Works in Long Neck, DiFebo’s Market and Restaurants in Bethany Beach, Parsons Farms in Dagsboro, Summer Salts in Bethany and Matt’s Fish Camp in Fenwick Island.
The Girl Scouts will be providing each participating business with voting passports that will list each eatery and the dessert it is creating.
Funds raised for Girl Scout Service Unit 14 will go toward the next multi-troop camping adventure.
Girl Scout Cookie Dessert Wars will run from Friday, Feb. 7 to Sunday, March 9. The business with the most votes for best Girl Scout Cookie dessert will receive a plaque and bragging rights.
