Lewes library teen job fair workshop set March 27
The Lewes Public Library will host its 9th Annual Teen Job Fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, March 29, at 111 Adams Ave., Lewes.
The annual fair connects teen applicants with local businesses to discuss seasonal and/or year-round employment opportunities. The fair is free of charge and open to all teens ages 14-19. No registration is required.
Participating employers include: Aerie Offline, Chick-fil-A, Dairy Queen, Funland, Jungle Jim's, Rehoboth Toy and Kite Co., SoDel Concepts, Starbucks, Sussex Family YMCA and Thrasher’s French Fries.
To help teens put their best foot forward at the March 29 event, a job fair prep workshop will be offered at 6 p.m., Thursday, March 27. The session will cover a wide range of topics for teen job seekers, from applications and interview techniques to work permits, tax forms, employment law and professional etiquette.
“The teen job fair provides an all-in-one experience for teens to learn about employment opportunities from a variety of local businesses,” said Emily Ellinger, teen services librarian. “Paired with our preparation workshop, this is a great opportunity for teens to learn to navigate the job market and build confidence with applications and interviews.”
