Lewes youth shares holiday tunes with Lodge residents
Young musician JJ Ohri, a Lewes resident, presented a a pop-up piano recital Dec. 19, at The Lodge at Historic Lewes, where he provided Christmas cheer for seniors who attended his performance.
He played a selection of holiday carols including “Away In a Manger,” “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” “Mary’s Boy Child,” “Angels We Have Heard on High,” “Silent Night,” “The Whole World is Waiting for Love” and more. He also included a couple of Beatles songs and presented an original composition of his own for the first time in public, called "Blues in E Minor."
JJ is the son of Lisa and Sanjay Ohri of Lewes. He has previously performed at local venues for Veterans Day, Mother’s Day and other occasional gatherings, and last year, he traveled to the Philippines with his parents to study and perform with a local musical studio there.
