Living nativity blesses Georgetown on the Circle

A living nativity, complete with actors portraying each of the characters in the Christmas story, was staged by the Good Ole Boy Foundation on The Circle in Georgetown Dec. 22.
A chilly 22-degree evening didn’t hinder the testimonials and a candlelight service that highlighted the event.
“We are thankful to have the opportunity to bring the community together in the Georgetown Circle to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas, that best gift that was ever given, the birth of our savior,” said Good Ole Boy Foundation board member K.C. Conaway. “This event is not just put on by one church, but instead had several churches and businesses represented here this evening.”

Aaron Mitchell portrayed the angel Gabriel looking over the nativity. Gabriel announced to Mary that she would give birth to Jesus.
K.C. Conaway, one of the organizers of the living nativity, acted as emcee and gave prayers for those in attendance.
The wise men were portrayed by (l-r) Chris Stokley, Timmy Rogers and Wayne Maloney.
Madi Short portrayed Mary who gave birth to Jesus in the manger.
Pastor Tim Dukes led the candlelight service. Dukes is the senior pastor at Central Worship Center in Laurel.

Enjoying the evening and hot chocolate was the Diakos family – Lucas, 8; Vasilios and Sonia; David, 1; and Victor, 12.
