Mid Atlantic Guitar Show set March 21-23 in Rehoboth Beach

March 20, 2025

The 2025 Mid Atlantic Guitar Show & Swap Meet will be held from Friday to Sunday, March 21 to 23, at the Atlantic Sands Hotel and Conference Center, 1 Baltimore Ave., Rehoboth Beach.

Dozens of exhibitors and private individuals will be in attendance looking to buy, sell and trade new, used and vintage guitars and guitar-related items including amplifiers, parts, pedals and more.

New this year is the Trading Booth, where individuals who are looking to sell or trade a single guitar or amplifier can register to receive a dedicated space to display their item on Saturday, March 22. Advance online registration at midatlanticguitarshow.com is strongly encouraged as space is limited.

Show highlights include lectures on “Les Paul from Start to Finish,” with sessions throughout the weekend. Jim Wysocki, a friend of Les Paul, will discuss the noted guitar-maker’s life and show an extensive collection of items that once belonged to Paul. Attendees may have an opportunity to play some of these special guitars.

Live music by entertainer Skribe will begin at 8 p.m., Friday, March 21, in Kiwi’s Kove at the Atlantic Sands. Skribe will offer a Suitcase Drum Workshop - Building the Beat, at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, March 22. The suitcase drum will be raffled, and registrants will receive an entry to win.

Also at 12:30, Matt Robinson will discuss Five Positions of the Pentatonic Scale and Making Memorable Melodies. Attendees must preregister for this free workshop. A second session will begin at 2:30 p.m.

Attendees of The Art of Looping with Nate McCormick, starting at 2:30 p.m., will get to experience different types of loopers and how to effectively incorporate them into their own performances.

There will also be a raffle drawing for a Tagima guitar and a 50/50 drawing; chances are available online or in person.

The event benefits the Frantic Music Project and is organized by project co-founders Al and Mary “Frantic” Knight. The guitar show is the project’s annual fundraiser, and proceeds will be used for operational expenses, programs that support the music community, and services for Delaware musicians facing catastrophic illness or life events.

Food and beverages are not included with admission, but may be purchased directly from the venue at the concessions area outside the exhibit hall, or at Kiwi’s Kove in the Atlantic Sands Hotel.

Frantic Music Project is a 501c3 charitable organization with a mission to provide subsidized equipment, services and financial aid to economically challenged performing musicians, regardless of age, who currently have or are pursuing a musical career in Delaware.
