Museum to host piano student holiday performance Dec. 12

December 6, 2024

A piano recital featuring classical and holiday music is set for 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 12, at the Rehoboth Beach Museum.

Krystian Jamrozek, education specialist for the museum, is also a pianist and local piano teacher.

The program will include performances by his piano students as well as by Jamrozek, who will play four-handed holiday duets with pianist Victor Frush.

Holiday classics including “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “The Twelve Days of Christmas” will be complemented by classical selections like Friederich Kuhlau’s “Sonatina #1.”  Jamrozek’s students have been studying with him for two years. Since their last recital, they have been working on more difficult pieces, and studying technique through etudes and scales to prepare their songs to be performance-ready.

“It’s promising to see that these students choose to study piano, an acoustic musical instrument invented about 1700, despite living in an age of technology,” said Jamrozek.

The recital is open to the community, and tickets may be reserved at rbmuseum.org. All proceeds benefit the museum.
