Nonprofit organizations invited to register for Do More 24 Delaware

Statewide 24-hour fundraising event to take place March 6-7
November 6, 2024

Registration for Do More 24 Delaware, the state’s premier charitable giving initiative, opened Nov. 1 and will continue through Friday, Feb. 14, for the annual event to be held Thursday and Friday, March 6 and 7.

Organized jointly by United Way of Delaware and Spur Impact, Do More 24 Delaware is a 24-hour fundraising marathon that leverages collective marketing to raise unrestricted funds for the state’s nonprofits.

Upon signing up, nonprofits will gain access to fundraising support including campaign how-to guides, marketing and public relations toolkits, educational webinars, peer-to-peer fundraising tools, promotional media opportunities and a donation page on domore24delaware.org. Nonprofits are also eligible to apply for free one-on-one support from a dedicated social media ambassador to help them promote their fundraising campaign.

In addition to benefitting from communal marketing efforts ahead of the event, nonprofits have the opportunity to earn matching gifts and cash prizes funded by Do More 24 Delaware sponsors.

“For the state’s nonprofit organizations, Do More 24 Delaware is more than a day of fundraising,” said UWDE Chief Operating Officer Dan Cruce. “It’s a strategic opportunity to grow donor networks, boost visibility and unlock new funding avenues that strengthen their missions year-round. We encourage every Delaware nonprofit to sign up for the 2025 event and take part in a movement that not only raises critical funds, but also builds lasting community connections and support.”

The 2024 event generated a record-breaking number of donors – more than 20,000 – representing every ZIP code in Delaware and raising more than $2.3 million. Since the March 2020 event, when UWDE and Spur Impact joined forces, Do More 24 Delaware has raised more than $9.5 million for Delaware’s nonprofits.

“In March 2024, we mobilized 4.5% of Delaware households to donate in 24 hours, a feat no other partnership has achieved in Delaware,” said Charlie Vincent, Spur Impact executive director. “Last year’s record-breaking results affirmed Delaware’s incredible spirit of giving. As we look to 2025, we’re excited to see even more nonprofits join in, connect with new supporters and amplify their impact.”

Participation is free and open to all 501(c)(3) nonprofits serving Delaware. Organizations can register at domore24delaware.org.
