Sharon Lynn Mack, had infectious smile
Sharon Lynn Mack passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025, in Lewes, after a courageous four-year battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Sharon was raised in Saratoga Springs and Clifton Park, N.Y., and attended Shenendehowa High School, graduating in 1992. Sharon went on to attend Potsdam College in Potsdam, N.Y., graduating in 1998. She moved to Lewes in 2015. Sharon earned a master's degree in nutrition from University of Maryland. She worked for Beebe Healthcare in the population health unit as an integrative health and wellness coach.
Sharon is survived by her children, Allison Mack, Liam Mack and Finley Mack of Lewes; her parents, Joanne and Richard Zimmer of Lewes; her brother, David (Jennifer) Zimmer of Wilton N.Y.; her sister, Carolyn (Devin) Lander of Averill Park, N.Y.; her biological mother, Dionne Bryan of Mechanicville, N.Y.; biological siblings, Kevin (Shawna) Alderman of Mechanicville, and Becky (Will) Donahey of Aiken, S.C.; and nieces and nephews.
Sharon excelled in sports, playing varsity soccer in high school and college. Physical fitness was a big part of her life, including swimming, water skiing, running, horseback riding, and camping. Her favorite childhood memories were boating and camping on the islands of Lake George.
Sharon had a smile that could light up a room and a radiant soul that brought happiness and laughter to all those who knew her. She loved music, dancing, and having fun with her friends and family. Sharon had a special flair for decorating. Her house always looked amazing, especially around the holidays. Sharon left us all happier for having been part of her life.
A viewing will be held from 2 to 3 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 5, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Hwy., Lewes, followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m.
