Sussex Habitat dedicates two new homes in Seaford

January 25, 2025

Sussex County Habitat for Humanity recently held a ceremony to dedicate two new homes in Seaford. After successfully completing Sussex Habitat's homeownership program, partnering families received the keys to their new homes.

Family members, community supporters and Sussex Habitat representatives gathered to commemorate the achievement. Both families completed extensive requirements to reach this milestone, including sweat equity hours, financial coaching and homeownership preparation courses.

"Today marks the culmination of months of hard work and dedication from these families," said Kevin Gilmore, CEO of Sussex County Habitat for Humanity. "Their commitment to achieving their dreams of homeownership has been inspiring to witness."

These homes represent Sussex Habitat's ongoing commitment to providing affordable housing solutions in southern Delaware, where the need continues to grow.

The organization remains dedicated to its mission of building strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter, partnering with families to create lasting change in the community.
