Sussex Tech students donate Hoops for Hunger proceeds

January 5, 2025

Sussex Technical High School’s Multiplying Good students donated canned goods collected during their Hoops for Hunger Game to the Thurman Adams State Service Center in Georgetown and the Shipley State Service Center in Seaford.

In October, the Multiplying Good organization hosted a Hoops for Hunger event featuring an after-school basketball game between juniors and seniors. Each person admitted to the event donated a canned good. Severable boxes of nonperishable items were collected and distributed to the state service centers to support local families in need.

Sussex Tech is a public high school that prepares Sussex County students in grades 9-12 for their future success in workforce environments, higher education and the military.
