Top chefs to collaborate for Under Tuscan Lights dinner May 2

Southern Delaware Wine, Food & Music Festival organizers announced top local chefs will collaborate for Under Tuscan Lights, a pre-fest dinner set for 6 p.m., Friday, May 2, at Schellville near Rehoboth Beach. 

The dining experience serves as a prelude to the festival, which will be held from 12 to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 3, at Schellville.

Chef Hari Cameron, known for his innovative approaches to cuisine, will lead an exceptional ensemble of talented chefs, each with their own distinctive culinary styles. The lineup includes Kyle Berman, executive chef at The Pines, who is celebrated for his farm-to-table creations; Sean Corea, executive chef at Lewes Oyster House, renowned for his commitment to fresh and locally sourced seafood; Ted Deptula, culinary director of La Vida Hospitality, known for his contemporary twists on classic dishes; Zach Dick, executive chef at Dogfish Head Chesapeake & Maine, recognized for pairing food with craft brews; Jordan Keen, Atlantic Sands Hotel executive chef, who excels in coastal cuisine; and David Kneller, owner and chef of Market 59 Baltimore, acclaimed for his creative market-inspired dishes.

“I am thrilled and honored to bring together such an extraordinary group of chefs from this region,” said Cameron. “Under Tuscan Lights showcases the incredible diversity and quality of culinary talent we have in coastal Delaware. I believe our dinner guests will leave with unforgettable memories and a deeper appreciation for our local culinary scene.”

The evening will feature a lavish 10-course menu that highlights unique dishes contributed by each chef. Guests will begin with elegantly crafted pre-dinner cocktails, followed by a selection of appetizers to tease the palate, a raw bar, delectable entrees and and mouthwatering seasonal courses. A chefs' collaborative dessert will be served to end the meal on a sweet note.

Seats are limited. All proceeds from the Under Tuscan Lights dinner will benefit the Harry K Foundation and Sussex County Habitat for Humanity.
