Withholding public health support not fiscally responsible
Articles and letters in the Cape Gazette document that Sussex County suffers from insufficient community medical resources and services. The recent sudden, drastic and chaotic withholding of planned federal support for Delaware and Sussex County community public health services is not responsible financial stewardship; instead, it undermines the health and well-being of our community.
The support from Delaware legislators Rep. Tim Dukes, R-Laurel, and Rep. Jeff Spiegelman, R-Clayton, in their April 8 commentary for slashing tens of millions of our Delaware federal taxpayer dollars previously on track to be returned to Delaware is misguided and so much more than regrettable.
