Milton planners approve dentist office for Cypress Grove

First commercial tenant for mixed-use development along Route 16

The first commercial section of the Cypress Grove development on Route 16 in Milton has the go-ahead to begin construction.

The Milton Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved final site plans for a dentist office within the development at its Oct. 17 meeting. Dr. Paul Brown will build a 3,100-square-foot, single-story office building on a corner lot of the 5-acre commercial space near the intersection of Route 16 and Country Road. 

Cliff Mumford, representing Brown, said the doctor has received approvals from state and county agencies to move forward with the project, as required by Milton code before final site-plan approval.

The office will be located on an interior lot on the eastern corner of the property. Access will come from the main drive aisle, Grove Circle, which accesses Route 16. The office will include 41 parking spaces with two handicapped spaces. There is a pedestrian connection from the office to the internal sidewalk connecting the commercial part of Cypress Grove to the residential.

The land for Cypress Grove is part of a 26-acre parcel that was annexed into Milton in 2021. The parcel was divided into two zones, with 5 acres of commercial land fronting Route 16, and the rest, which backs up to Bay Road, being residential. The residential portion of the development comprises 240 townhouse-style units.
