To continue fostering relationships with community businesses, Bayhealth Foundation recently hosted its third annual luncheon for 50 members of the Greater Milford Chamber of Commerce.
Speaking at the event was Michael Ashton, vice president of operations and Bayhealth Sussex Campus administrator. He shared details about the organization’s ongoing expansion efforts aimed at enhancing access to high-quality healthcare and services in the community. He highlighted the expanding collaboration with Post Acute Medical, which opened its rehabilitation hospital in fall 2024 on the Sussex campus.
Attendees also learned about construction of the new Bayhealth Sussex childcare center, allowing an additional 102 children of Bayhealth team members to be cared for at an accredited facility with age-appropriate classrooms, play areas and gardens. This initiative reflects the organization’s ongoing dedication to supporting team members and their families.
"At Bayhealth, our commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare goes beyond the walls of our facilities,” said Ashton. “By collaborating with community partners and local businesses, we can work together to address the healthcare needs, expand access to vital resources and create a healthier community for all.”
